THE ARLEEN SCHOLARSHIP

Arleen was not only our mother, aunt, and great aunt, but also Pink It Forward's biggest cheerleader. At any given time, you could guarantee she was wearing something with Pink It Forward on it, beaming with pride over the work we've been able to do and the difference we're making in the lives of those battling breast cancer.

Battling breast cancer not once, not twice, not 3 times, but 4 times, Arleen was the true definition of a warrior. She battled the relentless disease vigorously, with the grace of the angel she now is. Regardless of cancer's attempts to bring her down, she was always there to lift up her children and grandchildren. A basketball game, a dance recital, a Pink It Forward event, she never missed a beat. We're so proud to honor her memory and further that love and support by providing a bit of financial assistance to students that have experienced some of the same impacts.

Applications must be received by April 1st of each year and will be issued annually on May 1st. Eligible students must have had or currently have breast cancer, or have a sibling, parent, or grandparents has been diagnosed, whether currently battling, a survivor, or someone who has passed.  Student must be attending a technical school, college, or university for the current school year (scholarship must be used within the school year awarded).  *Winners cannot reapply for the Arleen Scholarship.  Checks will be made out to the schools in their name.
